Ina Kurz was born in 1964. Out of the idea of no longer binding poetry in books, but capturing it on textiles, Ina Kurz created the brand Maegde u. Knechte in 1999. Her art is a playing field of German culture. She runs a shop and a studio with a showroom in Hamburg. Her work is to be seen in the Museum K21 in Düsseldorf, in the PALAIS DE TOKYO in Paris, in the ZKM Karlsruhe, in the contemporary collection in the House of History in Bonn and in the Vienna Art House. For the 2005/2006 German Year in Japan she is presenting her art in collaboration with the Goethe Institute and the Federal Cultural Foundation in the exhibition "Young and German" in Tokyo.
